About us

We’re located on the edge of the stunning 1,500 acre North Cadbury Court estate, in the heart of the Somerset countryside and the beautiful south west of England.

The estate has been owned by the Montgomery family for more than 100 years and in that time has become world famous for award winning Cheddar cheese which is made on our farm. North Cadbury Court is still a very much loved family home, so great care is taken to make guests feel welcome for private events, weddings, parties and corporate functions.

History

The history of North Cadbury Court goes back as far as 1300. Cadbury Hill Fort, which is also part of the estate and just a couple of miles away, is thought by many to be the location of Camelot from the legend of King Arthur, so our history is steeped in mythology.

This makes a stay at either one of our four Coach House cottages, or our Yacht Club, an experience we’re sure you’ll enjoy. With a range of local activities, from exploring our coast and countryside to some of the best shopping and local market towns the UK has to offer, there is plenty to see and do while you’re here.
